About Altmann Analytik


Company formation

In 1984, the company was founded under the name Altmann Analysentechnik. At the beginning, the focus was on trading in used and new analytical equipment. The range of products was expanded over time to include consumables for laboratories.

Establishment of Altmann Analytik as a specialist laboratory retailer

Since 2010, the company has been run by managing director Tobias Thelen under the name Altmann Analytik. The initial focus is on the sale of products for instrumental analytics. Altmann Analytik is growing continuously and has established itself internationally as a reliable partner for laboratories, research institutions and industrial companies.

Launch of the Analytics-Shop

In addition to direct sales by our team of product experts, a user-friendly and innovative online shop has been available to our customers since 2011. The Analytics-Shop has been one of our most significant growth drivers!

Integration of the dairy and food industry segment

In 2014, Altmann Analytik took over the company Dinkelberg analytics in Gablingen near Augsburg. This gave us a second location and at the same time valuable expertise in the areas of dairy and food analysis. Today, we manage our logistics from our location in Gablingen.

Founding of the US subsidiary Analytics-Shop USA

Since 2018, the company has a third location in Stockbridge near Atlanta, USA. We supply pharmaceutical laboratories, universities, public institutions and industrial companies in the USA and Canada primarily with products for chromatography and general laboratory supplies.

Modernisation and expansion of the warehouse

The turnover of goods in our warehouse is continuously increasing. In 2022, we will modernise our warehouse and install new warehouse lifts - for efficient processes and short delivery times.

New location in North Rhine Westfalia

In September 2023, we not only expanded our product portfolio with the acquisition of Technolab GmbH, but also our team with six new members. The established location in Schwerte mainly serves customers from the food industry.

Get to Know us

Since Managing Director Tobias Thelen has taken over the company in 2010, a lot has changed: Today we have ten times as many employees, our customer base has grown enormously and our turnover has increased tenfold.

The mission statement of our company has not changed over the years and our success confirms our philosophy: we rely on satisfied and well-trained employees and a high-quality product range. We want to create added value for our business partners in research, development and industry. Our goal is long-lasting business relationships, open communication and sustainable success.

Today, we at Altmann Analytik are 30 colleagues with the common goal of offering our customers the best service in our markets.

Our Management Team

Tobias Thelen became managing director in 2010. The focus is on shaping an internationally active company that operates successfully and sustainably and creates added value. Today, the management team consists of a total of three people:

Tanja Häfner has been on board since 2013: she is an expert for HPLC and chromatography and heads our ten-person sales team. Competent advice and reliable service are our top priorities!

Aaron Gilljohann has been part of the team since 2013 as well and is responsible for purchasing, marketing & e-commerce. The clear goal of his team: we offer our customers a wide selection of first-class products in a user-friendly way.
